My favorite way to make Thanksgiving potatoes is mashed! I love the rich, creamy texture in my mouth and the warm fullness in my belly. I love my potatoes so much that I often eat them without any kind of gravy. But if you must have gravy I prefer white country gravy.
Christiana's Mashed Potatoes 8-12 Medium potatoes (depending on how stiff you like your mashed taters) 8oz Cream Cheese 8 T butter or margarine Milk until correct consistency about 1c Salt & Pepper to Taste
1. Peel and cut up potatoes into small pieces to speed up cook time. Cook until easily smashed with a fork. I also like to put a little salt or chicken broth in my boiling water.
2. Strain potato chunks and put into a large mixing bowl with cream cheese, butter, salt, & pepper.
3. While mixing, slowly add milk until your potatoes are your preferred consistency. Double check the salt and pepper and you are ready to serve!
